GTA 6 boss reveals which pre-order version is more popular - and it’s not the cheaper one
GTA 6 boss reveals more popular pre-order version

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has revealed that GTA 6 pre-orders are skewing towards the more expensive Ultimate Edition, despite the higher price tag.

Pre-orders open in June

On June 25, 2026, GTA 6 pre-orders opened, with Rockstar Games revealing the long-speculated price. The Standard Edition costs £69.99 in the UK, while the Ultimate Edition is priced at £89.99.

In an interview with CNBC, Zelnick was asked which way pre-orders were leaning. He said, “Actually, it is skewing more to the premium edition. That might be a reflection of the fact that the most avid consumers are the ones who are pre-ordering now.”

Ultimate Edition content

The Ultimate Edition includes exclusive content not available in the Standard Edition, such as the '95 Grotti Cheetah, Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers, Personalized Weapon Variants, Vice City Styles, Jason's Safehouse Vehicles, Ganado Retro Build, Rideout Customs Mod Shop, Sara's Unisex Salon, Shitzu Squalo, Stock 305 Clothing Store, '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and Garage, Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor, One-Eyed Willie's Mod Shop, Goodtime Gear, PTT Youngin$ Compound, and Classic Car Collection.

It is not yet clear how these bonuses will work, such as whether shops will appear boarded up for Standard Edition owners. However, an Ultimate Upgrade Pack will be available at launch, allowing Standard Edition pre-orderers to upgrade for a flat fee of around £20.
