Skunk Pond is located in the southern part of the park and offers a fresh craft-based quest line, creepy new enemies, and new survival mechanics. Players must manage oxygen levels and chilly temperatures while exploring the pond's depths.
The update adds new crafting recipes, including a snorkel made from Eelgrass, and introduces new tools like a diving suit and a buggy as rewards for exploration. These additions aim to enhance the survival sandbox experience.
Combat and Enemies
New enemies, such as the infamous toe-biter, pose significant threats, injecting venom that drains health. Underwater combat differs from land-based fights, requiring tactical use of floating Croakwurst mines that explode on impact.
The water environment is designed to be both curious and dangerous, with discoveries like a digital watch and shark toy, but also factors like breath, chill, and swim speed that keep players on edge.

After over an hour of hands-on time, the update feels like the biggest yet for Grounded 2, with Obsidian listening to fan feedback and preparing for a future 1.0 launch. The game remains in early access, but the new underwater content adds fresh legs to the survival crafting title.
