EA Sports has confirmed the top 27 rated players for La Liga in EA FC 27, with Kylian Mbappe leading the list. Mbappe's 91 overall rating places him as the joint-top player in the upcoming football simulation alongside Manchester City's Erling Haaland and former Barcelona star Alexia Putellas, who has now signed for WSL side London City Lionesses.
Mbappe and Rodri top the rankings
Barcelona's newest signing, ex-Manchester City midfielder Rodri, is the second-highest rated La Liga player with an overall of 90. He is one of five players who have been given the same score. Rodri's new Camp Nou teammates Lamine Yamal and Pedri are also rated 90 overall, as are Mbappe's Real Madrid colleagues Thibaut Courtois and Jude Bellingham.
The top 27 list is dominated by Spain's two biggest clubs, with just one player from another team in the top 10. That honour goes to Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak (88 OVR), while his clubmates Julian Alvarez (86 OVR) and Grimaldo (85 OVR) are 11th and 16th respectively. Atletico have a total of three players in the top 27, as do Athletic Club.
Major upgrades for Barcelona defenders
The league's highest upgrade goes to Eric Garcia, as the Barcelona defender has been given a +6 boost to his EA FC 26 rating of 79. Teammate Fermin Lopez also earned a big upgrade, being handed an 85 overall score after being rated 80 last year.
Other notable players in the top 27 include Vinicius Jr (89 OVR), Raphinha (88 OVR), Federico Valverde (87 OVR), Pau Cubarsi (86 OVR), Marc Cucurella (86 OVR), and Joan Garcia (86 OVR). The list also features Ibrahima Konate (84 OVR), Isco (83 OVR), and Peter Gulacsi (82 OVR).
Liga F top 27 also confirmed
EA Sports has also confirmed the top 27 for the women's top flight in Spain. Ballon d'Or winner Aitana Bonmati leads the list with a 90 overall rating, one of eight Barcelona players in the top 10. EA FC 26 phenom Claudia Pina has been handed an upgrade to 89 overall and takes second place. Attackers Caroline Graham Hansen and Pajor also earned an 89 overall rating.
Former Manchester City winger Kerolin Nicoli has been given a +5 upgrade. Kerolin's 85 overall rating places her among the top 10, joined by her new Barcelona teammates. The only non-Barcelona players in the top 10 are Real Madrid wingers Linda Caicedo (85 OVR) and Athenea (84 OVR).
EA FC 27 is set to launch on Friday, September 25.
