EA Sports has unveiled the brand-new Hall of FUT feature for EA FC 27, offering Ultimate Team fans who pre-order the Ultimate Plus edition an exclusive nostalgic player pick. The feature celebrates players who, as EA Sports put it, aren't necessarily the "biggest names" but "unlikely heroes that the community discovered" during the last 18 years of the game mode.
Hall of FUT debuts with five inductees
The first five Hall of FUT player items have been confirmed, with more to be announced closer to the EA FC 27 launch date. Gamers who pre-order the Ultimate Plus edition will earn a special Player Pick where they choose one from these five stars:
- Adebayo Akinfenwa (Northampton Town, Wycombe Wanderers; England)
- Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United, Everton; Belgium)
- Loic Remy (Lyon, Chelsea; France)
- Eljero Elia (Juventus, Feyenoord; Netherlands)
- Giovani dos Santos (Barcelona, Tottenham; Mexico)
Each player helped create countless memories for EA FC and FIFA players looking for an edge against the opposition with underrated gems who would fit the meta. Akinfenwa and Fellaini were both renowned for their physical attributes, while Remy, Elia and dos Santos were all pace merchants with a penchant for a spectacular goal.
Ultimate Plus edition exclusive
The Hall of FUT bonus is only available with a pre-order of the Ultimate Plus edition, which is a digital version of the game only. Anyone who reserves their copy after August 31 misses out, as the Ultimate Plus edition is only available until that point.
EA FC 27 is set for release on Friday, September 25, and comes in three editions - the Standard, Ultimate and Ultimate Plus editions. It's the first time EA Sports has chosen to launch three official pre-order editions since FIFA 21.
Additional Ultimate Plus benefits
Further benefits to the Ultimate Plus edition include one International Icon player item (rated 85+ overall, untradeable), 10,000 FC Points delivered across five monthly drops, Seasons 1-5 of the Premium Pass, an extra Evolution slot, and EA FC 26 bonuses such as an Icon player pick and physical attribute Evolution.
