EA Sports FC 27 is set for launch on Friday, September 25, but several methods allow fans to play before the official global release. Pre-ordering special editions grants up to seven days early access, while EA Play members get a 10-hour trial. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can access the trial without extra cost.
Pre-order the Ultimate Edition or Ultimate Plus Edition
The most straightforward method is pre-ordering either the Ultimate Edition or the new Ultimate Plus Edition. The Ultimate Plus Edition includes FC points drops throughout the season, exclusive player items like Hall of FUT cards, and early access from Friday, September 18.
The Ultimate Plus Edition costs £139.99 on console or £129.99 on PC via Steam. The Ultimate Edition costs £99.99 on console or £89.99 on PC. EA Play members receive a 10% discount on pre-orders.
Become an EA Play member
EA Play membership offers a 10-hour trial of EA FC 27 from Friday, September 18. Progress carries forward if you buy the full game. EA Play is included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so many subscribers can play early without extra cost. Standalone EA Play costs £5.99 per month or £35.99 per year.
Web App and Companion App access
Fans can start their Ultimate Team journey early via the Web App and Companion App, which typically launch in the week before official release. Users can complete Squad Building Challenges, open packs, view objectives, complete transfers, and begin Evolutions. Expected dates are Wednesday, September 16 for Web App and Thursday, September 17 for Companion App.
The New Zealand trick
Changing your Xbox console's location to New Zealand allows players to start at 12am local time, up to 11 hours earlier than British players. This works only on Xbox platforms and can be combined with special edition pre-orders to play as early as Thursday, September 17.
