Diablo 4 is reportedly heading to Nintendo Switch 2 as early as next month, according to a reliable leak from Dealabs. The French site, known for accurate game release date predictions, expects the Switch 2 version to arrive on either September 15 or 18.
No Physical Cartridge
The leak also indicates the game will not have a physical cartridge, instead using the 'Code in a Box' format seen in other third-party Switch games. This approach aligns with the live-service nature of Diablo 4, which receives regular updates.
Pricing and Announcement
Dealabs suggests the price will be £62.99 in the UK, €69.99 in Europe, and $69.99 in the US. It remains unclear if this includes the Vessel of Hatred or Lord of Hatred expansions.
The announcement could come at Gamescom's Opening Night Live on August 25 or at BlizzCon on September 12-13 in Anaheim, California.
Why Switch 2?
Diablo 4 never launched on the original Switch due to hardware limitations, but the more powerful Switch 2 should handle the game, which runs well on portable devices like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally.
