Creamfields has confirmed Eric Prydz will step in after John Summit pulled out of the festival, citing the need to rest before his upcoming arena tour. The electronic music festival is set to return to Daresbury for the bank holiday weekend.
Line-up and entertainment
The line-up includes Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Disclosure, Underworld (Live), Amelie Lens presents AURA, Becky Hill and Carl Cox, among others. Away from the music, the festival will feature a range of on-site entertainment, with Downtown returning in 2026 after its launch last year, offering an on-site gym, five-a-side football, wellness classes, pampering and special secret sets.
John Summit's withdrawal
The ECHO reported last week that John Summit confirmed he would no longer attend the event. In a story shared on his Instagram account, he wrote: “Hi guys, after much thought I have decided to take the rest of August off of touring to rest and get ready for my upcoming arena tour.
“I unfortunately will not be able to make it to pukkelpop, Creamfields, Radio 1 Malta & touquet festivals. I rarely ever do this but there is so much work to do for the tour and I need to recharge my battery a bit before this fall. Thanks for understanding.”
According to Billboard, the Illinois native has maintained a typically relentless touring schedule, headlining Lollapalooza, continuing his [UNVRS] Ibiza residency and performing at festivals including Ultra Europe, Tomorrowland and Canada’s Cowboys Music Festival, as well as other major headline events since the start of the summer.
Eric Prydz to take the slot
John Summit was scheduled to play on Friday, August 28, 2026, on the Apex stage with Capital Dance alongside FISHER. Eric Prydz will now take the slot. The Swedish producer, known for hits such as Opus, Pjanoo, Generate and his remix of Call on Me sampling Steve Winwood, is no stranger to Creamfields, having entertained thousands of fans in previous years.
