Anton Du Beke to Headline Southport Flower Show

Anton Du Beke, the celebrated Strictly Come Dancing judge, is swapping the ballroom for the greenhouse to headline the Southport Flower Show on Saturday, August 22. The 59-year-old TV personality will host two exclusive Q&A sessions at the Garden Theatre during the four-day event, which runs from August 20 to August 23.

Star-Studded Lineup

Joining Du Beke at the show are Judge Rinder star Rob Rinder, national treasure Su Pollard, ITV Daytime chef Phil Vickery, and Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown. The event will also feature appearances from BBC Gardeners' World favourites Adam Frost, Arit Anderson, and Joe Swift, alongside Springwatch hosts Iolo Williams and Megan McCubbin, Bake Off star Briony May Williams, fitness icon Mr Motivator, and CBeebies legends Andy Day and Justin Fletcher.

Anton's Return

Southport Flower Show general manager Alan Adams expressed excitement about Du Beke's return, noting that Anton previously opened the show in 2014 and was a real hit. Adams said: "Anton opened the show back in 2014. He was a real hit back then and we can’t wait for our visitors to meet him again and enjoy his two Q&As on the day. Your ticket price into the show includes entry into the Garden Theatre to see him—but it's going to be a full house, so come early if you want a good spot!"

Du Beke, who first appeared as a Strictly professional in 2004 before becoming a judge alongside Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, and Motsi Mabuse, has built a diverse career beyond dance. He has topped the Sunday Times bestseller list with his 1930s-inspired novels and performed swing classics on stage.

The Southport Flower Show, billed as the biggest independent flower show in the country, promises a mix of showbiz glamour, horticultural masterclasses, and family entertainment.
