Adults Renewed: The Binge-Worthy Comedy Series You Can't Miss

FX's comedy series 'Adults' has been renewed for a second season, and it's being hailed as one of the best new shows in years. The show, created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw and produced by Nick Kroll, follows a group of hapless 20-somethings living together in New York.

A Fresh Take on Comedy

The characters are all endearing messes, from Paul Baker, a lovable Canadian import played by Jack Innanen, to Issa, a narcissistic diva played by Amita Rao. The dynamic between Paul and Issa is a highlight, as is Anton, a charismatic 'friend slut' portrayed by Owen Thiele, whose comedic timing is impeccable.

Billie (Lucy Freyer) and Samir (Malik Elassal) round out the group as childhood best friends. Samir's career struggles after botching a job interview and Billie's quest to recapture her high school glory days add depth to the comedy.

Perfect for Binge-Watching

The first season consists of eight episodes, each around 20 minutes long, making it ideal for a quick binge. The show has a 7.4 IMDb rating, and fans are already clamoring for more. One viewer wrote, 'My biggest complaint is I wish we got longer episodes to really spend time with this group of misfits. If you're looking for a show that captures our moment I highly recommend FX's Adults.'

Another added, 'This show is so easy to binge. I finished it in one day and I'm already so obsessed with all of the characters. My only complaint, as I mentioned in the title of this review, is that I need 20 more seasons immediately.'

What's Next

The second season is set to premiere at the end of the month, and a prequel episode was released last week to tide fans over. The first season of 'Adults' is available to stream now on Disney Plus.
