Thousands of spectators gathered on Swansea Bay beach on Saturday night for the inaugural Wales Airshow Afterburn, a new twilight finale to the annual event.
The sunset spectacular featured the roar of an RAF Typhoon, pyrotechnic aerial displays by the Firebirds Display Team, and the Otto Schweizer helicopter. The event concluded with 200 illuminated drones creating patterns such as a swan and the name of poet Dylan Thomas, followed by a fireworks display.
Evening Programme
The evening show began just before 9pm and continued until 10pm, drawing huge crowds who remained on the beach to witness the spectacle.
