Terminal V Festival will mark its 10th anniversary with a move to a brand-new open-air event space on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow, the first time the dance music festival has been staged outdoors in Scotland.
The festival has unveiled Clydeside Live as the home of Terminal V Festival 2027, which will also be its first ever three-day edition. Taking place from Friday, 4 June, to Sunday, 6 June 2027, it will be the first music event held at the new site, which is being developed on Glasgow's historic docklands on the north bank of the Clyde.
The exact location of Terminal V's move to Glasgow had been kept under wraps since the festival announced its departure from Edinburgh earlier this year. The unveiling of Clydeside Live signals the beginning of a new chapter for both the festival and Glasgow's waterfront.
New Open-Air Site for Glasgow
Clydeside Live is being developed as Glasgow's largest dedicated open-air event space, with plans to host a wide range of live events and entertainment. Its riverside setting and Glasgow's distinctive industrial landscape are set to provide a striking new backdrop for large music events.
For Terminal V, the setting holds the same aesthetic that has been a main attraction to the festival since it launched. The scale of Clydeside Live will allow the festival to expand its production and staging in ways that were not possible at its previous location.
Biggest Festival Build to Date
For its 10th anniversary, Terminal V is planning its biggest festival build to date, creating the event from the ground up at Clydeside Live. A completely new concept for Area V, Terminal V's main stage, will be positioned at the water's edge, while established stages The Hangar and The Greenhouse will also be redesigned specifically for the new outdoor space.
Newly released renders offer a glimpse into how the festival is expected to look across the waterfront. The Glasgow edition will mark exactly ten years since Terminal V first launched in 2017, when it was a one-day event with a 2,000 capacity at Edinburgh's Royal Highland Centre. It has since developed into an international music brand.
Over the past decade, Terminal V says it has welcomed more than 250,000 fans, with more than 30 per cent of current ticket sales coming from outside Scotland. Previous years of the festival have also generated more than £5 million for the local economy.
Founders on the Move
Terminal V Founders Derek Martin and Simon McGrath said: "Finding the right home for the next chapter of Terminal V was hugely important to us, and from the moment we saw this site we could see its potential. The scale, the riverside setting and the industrial landscape around it feel completely aligned with Terminal V and give us the freedom to create something we simply couldn't have done before."
More than 100 artists are expected to perform at the 2027 festival, including international headliners who have played a role in Terminal V's history. The first line-up announcement is expected soon, with Early Bird tickets set to go on sale at 10am on Friday, 2 October.
