Praise for Liverpool's productions

Stephanie said of her acting return hopes: "Obviously I'm from Liverpool, very proud of where I come from, and Liverpool are absolutely just outdoing themselves at the moment. Obviously we've had This City Is Ours, G'wed, and it's amazing to see my hometown doing so well, because I feel like we've really come to the forefront acting-wise. Back in the day, we were kind of put on the back burner. So I'd love to do something in my hometown, Jimmy McGovern, I've always been a massive fan of his writing, I've watched everything that he has done."

She added: "So I'd really love to work with Jimmy McGovern, or something that Stephen Butchard wrote because he did This City Is Ours but he also did The Last Kingdom as well, which I am obsessed with. I'd love to do something in Liverpool, something gritty in my hometown. I think there's something just really authentic about Liverpool and Scouse actors that comes through, and you find it really relatable when they're on screen, and I just love it. So yeah, I'd love to do something for my hometown."

Praise for fellow Scouse actors

Stephanie went on to praise Liverpool and Merseyside stars such as Stephen Graham, James Nelson-Joyce and Bobby Schofield. The soap star added: "The actors and actresses that we've got in Liverpool, the talent in Liverpool is like no other. My God, honestly, when you see how many good actors and actresses we have in Liverpool."
