Salford Bonfire Night 2026: Firework displays and events

Fireworks will light up the sky over Salford for bonfire night again this year, with a host of displays and events taking place across the city.

Council-run events at Buile Hill Park and Prince's Park

Salford Council are hosting two large events in Buile Hill Park and Prince's Park over the first weekend of November. The celebrations will get underway at Buile Hill Park on Saturday 31 October, before moving to Prince's Park in Irlam on Sunday 1 November, with both events starting from 4pm and completely free to attend.

Featuring a funfair, fire walk, and 'marshmallow toasting' open, Buile Hill Park will see a set of three firework displays taking place over three hours starting at 5.30pm. The evening will begin with the quieter Little Sparks display for younger children and families, followed by a Firecracker display and culminating in the big finale main show. Drivers are encouraged to pre-book car parking at Buile Hill Park to help avoid congestion.

Prince's Park event and private displays

Meanwhile the Prince's Park event will include a funfair and food and drinks market, a bonfire, and two spectacular musical firework displays starting at 7.30pm. There will be free event car parking at Lidl, Fairhills Road and Tesco Extra, Woodrow Way, though the council recommends travelling by public transport.

Last year, the council's bonfire events proved hugely popular, with a total of almost 25,000 people attending.

Councillor Barbara Bentham, Lead Member for Neighbourhoods, Environment and Community Safety at Salford City Council, said: "We're expecting a fantastic atmosphere at Buile Hill Park. The three different displays mean families can choose what works best for them, including our quieter Little Sparks display for younger children.

"Then on Sunday we'll be bringing the celebrations to Irlam, where Prince's Park will offer the more traditional experience with a bonfire alongside the fireworks and funfair entertainment.

"We'd encourage people to enjoy fireworks safely at one of our organised events and come along for what will be a brilliant weekend in Salford."
