Canadian pop star Nelly Furtado turned heads at the Boardmasters Festival in Cornwall on Saturday, performing in a striking green ensemble. The 47-year-old singer wore high-waisted green ruffled hotpants, a matching wrap-around top, and giant furry sleeves, accessorised with white boots, tinted green sunglasses, and silver jewellery.

Furtado delighted the crowd with hits including 'Maneater' and 'I’m Like A Bird', smiling and interacting with fans. The festival, which enjoys sunny weather, also features performances by Raye, Leigh-Anne, Kaiser Chiefs, Krept and Kronan, and The Prodigy.

The singer's colourful appearance comes after she revealed last year that her skin was often lightened in magazine photoshoots. Speaking to People, the artist of Portuguese descent said: 'I have olive skin, and they'd kind of lighten my skin a lot in photos and kind of take my hips down all the time.' She added that there was 'a lot of airbrushing' during her peak fame years, a theme she addressed in her 2003 song 'Powerless'.

Despite these challenges, Furtado said she felt 'so lucky and blessed' to have a supportive team. She has sold over 45 million records worldwide, including 35 million albums, and released her latest album '7' last year. Her debut album 'Whoa, Nelly!' in 2000 launched her to fame with hits like 'I’m Like A Bird'.
