Ministry of Sound 35th Birthday: Andy C, Kerri Chandler, Moodymann

Ministry of Sound is marking its 35th anniversary with a major birthday weekend in London, featuring a heavyweight line-up of dance music legends. The celebrations will take place at the club's London home on Friday, October 2, and Saturday, October 3, with festivities continuing into the early hours of Sunday.

Andy C Returns After a Decade

Drum and bass icon Andy C will make his long-awaited return to Ministry of Sound for the first time in ten years. He will headline Friday night's Louder event with a special three-hour extended set, showcasing music from his brand new fourth album. Andy C is widely regarded as one of the genre's most technically accomplished DJs, and his return marks a major moment for the club.

House Legends Take Over Saturday

Saturday will see house music heavyweights Kerri Chandler and Moodymann take over the venue during the daytime session hosted by Hard Times. New York deep house pioneer Chandler will perform an extended hybrid set, while Detroit legend Moodymann will bring his famously unpredictable blend of house, funk, soul, and electronic sounds to the party.

The celebrations continue into Saturday night with Ministry of Sound's flagship underground house and techno night, Urge. Loco Dice will headline the final session of the birthday weekend, bringing his trademark deep, chunky, and groove-led sound to the dancefloor. More names are promised to be announced.

A Year of Celebrations

Club Director Matt Long said: “Few venues get to celebrate 35 years at the heart of dance music. We wanted to mark this milestone with a line-up that reflects both our heritage and where our sound is today. It's an honour to celebrate this anniversary with such incredible talent, and we can't wait to celebrate with you all.”

The birthday weekend is part of a year-long programme celebrating the club's milestone anniversary. It follows the biggest-ever renovation of Ministry of Sound's main room, the launch of its global anniversary tour, and the release of Ministry of Sound: Anthology, a new book exploring the venue's history. The club is also preparing for a return to Ibiza this September with a 528 takeover, marking its first event on the island in more than ten years.
