Lincolnshire Village Hosts UK's Biggest Swingers Festival

Thousands of people are descending on the sleepy Lincolnshire village of Allington this weekend for the annual 'Swingathon' event, a three-day celebration of non-monogamous relationships. Organisers insist it is not a 'sex festival' but an 'adult alternative lifestyle event', featuring play tents, pole dancing, hot tubs, foam parties, mobile dungeons, and games.

Around 1,000 attendees, paying £210 for solo entry or £250 as a couple, have the option of camping or glamping. However, not all residents are welcoming. One anonymous local told Lincolnshire Live: 'We're becoming known as the swinger's capital of England... It's just a bit seedy and sleazy.'

To address noise complaints, the festival has moved to a more secluded spot for its fifth year. Organiser Matthew Cole defended the event, stating: 'There are no keys in bowls, seedy music, lecherous individuals or a high level of STIs... Individuals within this community are respectful, conscientious, and more likely to practise safe sex.'

Festivalgoers have shared pictures on social media, showing scenes similar to other festivals, while vendors sell adult-themed items. Swingathon confirmed that all attendees are checked and verified with ID to ensure safety.
