Gogglebox star Baasit Siddiqui has shared rare pictures of his wife, Melissa, during the family's holiday in Cyprus. The couple, who have been married for 13 years, were seen enjoying time with their two children in Larnaca.
Family holiday in Cyprus
The Siddiqui family jetted off to Cyprus earlier this week and documented their days spent in Larnaca. Melissa was pictured beaming with a big smile alongside their two children as they enjoyed a walk in the village of Lefkara and hiked to the Agioi Saranta Cave Church.
Melissa tied her hair up and wore a loose-fitted shirt and shorts to beat the heat, while her children donned caps and sunglasses for sun safety.
Melissa's travel advice
Sharing travel advice for families visiting in August, Melissa wrote on Instagram: "I was the mum once again dragging the kids up this morning, after a late night. But this little church was on the list to visit - so today was the day! Today we explored the little church in the cave - Algioi Saranta Cave Church, located just outside protaras."
She added: "If visiting in August I definitely recommend going before midday or later in the evening. As it’s quite high up and small…it’s very hot and humid. Also wear sensible shoes (not me going in my flip flops), the steps are quite uneven and steep."
Original Gogglebox family
The Siddiquis are the only original family to have starred on Gogglebox since it first aired in 2013. The Derby-based family have entertained viewers with their reactions to television highlights over the years.
In February, Baasit's brother Raza was absent from the show after an accident left him bed bound. The family explained on social media: "Sadly he had a bit of a fall a few weeks back and cracked some ribs. He's absolutely smashing his recovery, staying positive and keeping himself entertained with walks, telly, reading and nephew cuddles with Theodore."
In April, Baasit and Melissa marked their wedding anniversary. Melissa wrote: "13 years married today, 16.5 years together - forever to go. Happy anniversary to the absolute best, couldn't do life without you... Love you."
