The Very Merry Circus is returning to Glasgow's Winter Wonderland on the Green this winter, with tickets available from £8.95 per person through Wowcher – a 43% saving on the usual £15.68 price.
Presented by Circus Zyair, the one-hour show promises a mix of traditional circus entertainment and thrilling acts. Performances take place inside a heated Big Top at Glasgow Green, offering a festive day out whatever the weather.
Motorcycle Globe of Death and more
One of the biggest highlights is the Motorcycle Globe of Death, which sees fearless riders race around inside a steel globe just metres away from the audience. There will also be a variety of other circus performances to keep visitors entertained throughout the show.
The heated tent means families can enjoy the action in comfort whatever the weather, making it an option for those looking to escape the cold while still enjoying a seasonal day out. The show is suitable for all ages, and children under two can attend for free when sitting on a parent's knee, although they won't be given their own seat.
Dates, times and additional attractions
A Very Merry Circus presented by Circus Zyair runs on selected dates from November 21 to January 3, with afternoon and evening performances on offer. As well as the circus, visitors can explore the wider Winter Wonderland site, which features additional festive attractions, including an outdoor ice rink. Some activities may require separate payment.
If a circus isn't quite your thing, families can also climb aboard the magical Polar Express experience at Edinburgh's Waverley Station, where actors, music and live interactive performances bring the hit Christmas film to life. Tickets are currently on sale through Wowcher, with prices reduced from £68.63 to £39 depending on the date, giving visitors a festive treat with a 43% saving.

Circus Zyair has an impressive 4.7 out of five-star rating on Tripadvisor. One guest called it 'incredible', adding: "Absolutely blown away! The acts were incredible from start to finish, genuinely couldn’t believe how good they were."
Another added: "We had an absolutely incredible time at Zyair!! The set-up is fantastic and the acts are all spectacular in their own right. The final act is unreal, my son couldn't believe what he was seeing. Highly recommend it as a trip out with the kids, great value for money. We'll be back next year!"

Some people who took in the circus were not quite so impressed, with one noting: "It started 20 minutes late, they are more interested in selling overpriced refreshments" while another said: "We were extremely uncomfortable from the heat from start to finish and so were the rest of the audience by the looks of it."
