The first of two free events is now underway at Court Hey Park in Huyton, with the Feelgood Festival taking over the green space today (August 1) until 5pm.
The family-friendly festival features food stalls, live performances and funfair rides, with visitors also able to enjoy a packed programme of entertainment.
Knowsley Flower Show follows tomorrow
Tomorrow (August 2), the Knowsley Flower Show will take place at the same park, making it a weekend of two major free attractions in the borough.
Entertainment highlights
Performances at the Feelgood Festival include Swansid Line Dancing Ladies, Liverpool Ukelele Orchestra, a Hula Hoop Competition, Howard Dutton Tai Chi and the Bubbly Fairy, along with a variety of other acts.
Cllr Shelley Powell's invitation
Ahead of the events, Cllr Shelley Powell, cabinet member for communities and neighbourhoods, said: "The Knowsley Feelgood Festival and Flower Show are two highlights of Knowsley’s annual events programme and are a fantastic opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and celebrate everything that makes Knowsley such a vibrant and welcoming borough. From the spectacular floral displays and competitions that have made the Flower Show a cherished tradition, to live music, family entertainment, community performances, interactive activities, great food and a packed programme of attractions, Court Hey Park will be bursting with colour, creativity and fun. There really is something for everyone to enjoy, and it is completely free to attend. These events bring people together, encourage people to enjoy our fantastic green spaces and create lasting memories for families and friends. We are proud to host the Feelgood Festival and Flower Show once again, and I would encourage everyone to come along and be part of what promises to be another wonderful weekend for Knowsley."
