Tickets are now on sale for Knowsley Safari Park's popular Enchanted Christmas event, which returns this year with a nature-themed light trail, a Winter Village, festive music, and an appearance from Santa.
Immersive Light Trail and Winter Village
The Foot Safari will transform into an illuminated trail featuring installations, a light show through the trees where guests usually see the Amur tigers Yuki, Akira, and Makari by daylight, and an insect hotel populated by bees and dragonflies. The trail will also include disco balls, colour-changing light arches, and chandeliers, with Christmas trees lit up for photo opportunities.
In the Winter Village, The Bus Yard will serve festive food and drink, including loaded Yorkshire pudding wraps, churros, candyfloss, and festive hot chocolate. Pre-booked guests will be greeted by Santa's elves and taken to meet Santa, while the safari's rides will be open and illuminated throughout the event.
SEN-Friendly Evening and Event Dates
A designated SEN-friendly Enchanted event will take place on Wednesday, December 9, to ensure a comfortable experience for neurodivergent guests and visitors with disabilities. During this evening, there will be reduced capacity, softened sound and lighting effects, and no rides operating.
Helena Berry, head of marketing and sales at Knowsley Safari, said: "We are so excited about this year's new Enchanted experience. The design is true to the Safari's values of putting nature and wildlife at the heart of everything we do."
"We've successfully blended natural landscapes, iconic wildlife, conservation and of course, family entertainment. Enchanted is an opportunity for families and friends to slow down and spend real time together, where young and old alike share the same wonder, and where everlasting memories will be made."
Enchanted will run from Friday, November 20 to Wednesday, December 23, with tickets costing from £9.95 and additional charges for rides and amusements.
