Bonnaroo festival has confirmed it will return in 2026, following the cancellation of its 2025 edition due to record-setting rainfall. The Manchester, Tennessee event was abruptly halted after the first day, with organisers citing unsustainable conditions for campers as heavy thunderstorms hit the area.
The 2025 festival, which began on June 12, featured performances from Luke Combs and Rebecca Black on its opening day. Scheduled headliners included Tyler, The Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, Avril Lavigne, and Hozier, among others. However, the remainder of the event was cancelled on Friday night due to extreme weather.
In a statement, organisers confirmed Bonnaroo will return to the same location, the Farm in Manchester, from June 11 to 14, 2026. They described the 2025 weather as a freak occurrence, with experts confirming record-setting rainfall. Despite this, they maintained that the traditional June timeframe remains optimal.
Several changes will be implemented for 2026. The most flooded campground will no longer be used, and the festival plans to invest significantly in improving campgrounds and other areas. Site and stage planning will also be altered as part of a multi-million-dollar, multi-year plan.
Following the 2025 cancellation, organisers initially offered 75% refunds but later updated this to 100% after backlash. They thanked fans for their patience, stating that the cancellation was necessary for safety. The festival has now been cancelled three times in five years.
