BBC Radio 2 in the Park 2026 arrives in Scotland next week, with the three-day festival set to take over Stirling's City Park from Friday September 11 to Sunday September 13. The annual event, which changes location each year, marks the first major Radio 2 live music event in Scotland since BBC Music's Biggest Weekend at Scone Palace in May 2018.
Headliners include Chaka Khan on Saturday and Simple Minds on Sunday. Other acts across the weekend include Emeli Sandé, Texas, Deacon Blue, Lulu, Level 42, James Blunt and The Script. Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster, and the weekend shows will be broadcast live on BBC 2 and iPlayer.
Stage timings and daily schedule
Gates open at 4pm on Friday for the opening DJ night party, with the event finishing no later than 11pm. On Saturday and Sunday, gates open at 11am and shows finish before 10pm.
Friday's line-up features Sara Cox's Wower Hour (5-6pm), DJ Spoony's Good Grove (6-7pm), Gary Davies' Sound of the 80s (7-8pm), Michelle Visage's Handbag Hits (8-9pm) and Rylan's Rybiza Anthems (9-10:30pm).
Saturday's Main Stage includes Owain Wyn Evans (12-1pm), Texas (1-1:30pm), Lulu (2-2:30pm), Jack Savoretti (3-3:30pm), ABC (4-4:30pm), Emeli Sandé (5-5:30pm), The Script (6-6:45pm), Vernon Kay (6:45-8pm) and Chaka Khan (8-9pm). The DJ Stage features Tony Blackburn, Shaun Keaveny, Paddy McGuinness, DJ Spoony, Gary Davies, Jo Whiley and Rylan.
Sunday's Main Stage includes OJ Borg (12-1pm), Deacon Blue (1-1:30pm), Appleton (2-2:30pm), Cast (3-3:30pm), Blue (4-4:30pm), James Blunt (5-5:30pm), Level 42 (6-6:45pm), Gary Davies (6:45-8pm) and Simple Minds (8-9:15pm). The DJ Stage features Jeremy Vine, Shaun Keaveny, Jo Whiley, Gary Davies, Romesh Ranganathan, OJ Borg and Vernon Kay.
Getting there and travel advice
Stirling Station is the closest train station, about a mile's walk from the site. Engineering works are expected to affect the direct Edinburgh–Stirling line over the weekend, so fans should check their ScotRail journey route before travelling.
An official shuttle bus will run to Stirling from multiple locations across Scotland on all three days, with seats bookable in advance. No public parking is available in residential streets around the site or at the venue, and road closures will be in place. Parking is available in limited dedicated locations around the city and must be booked in advance. A pick-up and drop-off point will operate at Castleview Car Park (11am-1am Friday, 8am-11:30pm Saturday and Sunday), and a taxi rank will be on Queen's Road, about a 10-minute walk from the venue.
Road closures and restrictions
Several roads around Stirling City Park will be closed or restricted on September 11, 12 and 13. Full closures apply on A811 Dumbarton Road (from King's Knot roundabout to Kersebonny Road junction), Dumbarton Road West (from Albert Place to King's Knot roundabout), A84 Millennium Way (entire length), Raploch Road (from King's Knot to Ballengeich roundabout) and Back O'Hill Road (from Ballengeich roundabout to Raploch Road at the Fire Station). These roads will be shut from 12 noon to midnight on Friday and 8am to midnight on Saturday and Sunday.
Clearways will operate from 6am to midnight on all three days on Drip Road, Raploch Road, A84 Millennium Way, Back O'Hill Road and A811 Dumbarton Road (from Touch Road to Albert Place). Resident-only closures will also be in place on several roads from 12 noon to midnight on Friday and 8am to midnight on Saturday and Sunday. The full list is available online.
