I found a £30 Sephora perfume that lasts all day and gets compliments
£30 Sephora perfume lasts all day and gets compliments

A perfume expert with over 150 bottles in her personal collection has declared a £30 Sephora fragrance a hit. Having flown across Europe learning about the craft and even making her own scent in Grasse, she says the perfume stands out.

How Milk Orchid came to be

The scent, Commodity Milk Orchid Expressive, was created in collaboration with Tiktoker @perfumerism (Emma) to create her ultimate milk scent. While Commodity already had a Milk perfume, Emma wanted something more, resulting in Milk Orchid.

The fragrance is a gourmand with notes of fig milk, vanilla orchid, magnolia, warm cotton, coconut cream and macadamia milk. The expert describes it as creamy, sweet and slightly floral, well-balanced and not cloying.

Longevity and compliments

The perfume lasted all day on her skin. She paired it with Lush Yummy Custard and Fenty Butta Drop Whipped Oil Body Cream Vanilla Dream. She found it comforting, sweet enough for gourmand lovers yet sophisticated for the office. She sees it becoming a signature scent.

She received compliments while wearing it and plans to buy the travel size. It layers well with Phlur's Heavy Cream (£39). She predicts it will be popular with fans of Kayali's Yum Pistachio Gelato (£80) and Lush's American Cream (£30).

Shopper reviews

On Sephora, the perfume has hundreds of reviews. One shopper said: "This is becoming my favourite rainy day scent. When it rains the scent bubble expands and everyone compliments how amazing I smell."

Another wrote their first ever review: "I’ve never written a review about a product in my life but this is needed. This smells so good! I have never gotten so many compliments in my life as I have within my first week wearing this. I could have the longest day at work and by hour 10 someone is still asking what I’m wearing."

One shopper was disappointed the fig note wasn't more prominent: "I don’t love it but I do like it. Not enough fig for me. The milk and coconut overtakes everything else."

Another fan said: "My first ever perfume from Commodity and I am honestly obsessed with this scent. ... I’m already nearing finishing my entire 100ml bottle and I need another one."
