The Ultimate Ladies' Day Preparation: A Month-Long Beauty Marathon
For countless enthusiasts, Aintree's Ladies' Day stands as the most eagerly awaited event of the year, prompting preparations that commence weeks, if not months, in advance. A glamorous racegoer has taken to TikTok to unveil her meticulous beauty regimen, which began as far back as March to ensure she looked flawless for the second day of the Grand National festival this Friday.
A Strict Itinerary from March to Race Day
Georgia Williamson, hailing from Cheshire, shared her rigorous schedule, encompassing everything from lip filler appointments to a detailed "debloat schedule." On March 5, over a month ago, she underwent a lip filler procedure, followed by hair dyeing and extensions the next day. By March 13, her skin preparation kicked off with a facial treatment.
This week, the influencer intensified her efforts. On Tuesday, she secured a manicure for impeccable nails, while Wednesday was packed with waxing, shaving, exfoliating, moisturising, another facial, and a collagen face mask application.
The Final Countdown: A Jam-Packed Eve of the Races
The day before Ladies' Day was equally hectic. Georgia scheduled eyebrow grooming at 4pm, a pedicure at 4:30pm, a spray tan at 5pm, and an upper body workout at 7pm. She also managed various chores, including shopping for drinks, visiting a cash machine, charging her portable battery, teeth whitening, steaming her outfit, and packing her bag.
Race Day Dawns with Precision Timing
Today, Georgia's alarm sounded at 5:45am, starting with a peppermint tea. At 6am, she washed her hair, began curling it by 6:30am, had another peppermint tea at 6:45am, and commenced makeup at 7am. By 8am, it was time to change, enjoy another peppermint tea, and board the bus at 8:30am.
The peppermint teas are integral to her "debloating" mission, which included post-dinner walks, three teas on Thursday afternoon, and exercises on a stair master and for her upper body.
Ladies' Day Glamour Amidst Unpredictable Weather
Georgia joins hundreds of revellers at Aintree today, where Ladies' Day is renowned for feathers, furs, and sky-high heels. The Grand National festival launched yesterday, with racegoers undeterred by rain and a 15C temperature drop from Wednesday's peak.
Dressed in daring ensembles and risqué mini dresses, fans battled with umbrellas and huddled for warmth. Over 150,000 attendees are expected across the three-day festival, with around £250 million anticipated in bets on Saturday's big race.
Record Crowds and Royal Attendance
Organisers from The Jockey Club reported first-day crowds exceeding 28,000, a 22% increase from last year. Princess Anne added elegance in a smart orange wool coat. Despite the "freezing" weather noted by attendee Jeanette Chinn, 56, of Tarporley, spirits remained high.
The poor conditions drove punters to bars, including the debut of the Ibiza-inspired O Beach pop-up, where dancers in heart-themed leotards entertained. University student Annika Courtney, 21, praised the attraction for drawing a young crowd to racing, highlighting the vibrant music and dance opportunities between races.
