Margot Robbie was nearly unrecognisable on Tuesday as she filmed scenes for her upcoming movie Babylon in Los Angeles. The 31-year-old actress concealed her signature blonde hair beneath a wavy auburn wig for the role.
Robbie wore a blue collared shirt and muted orange trousers, accessorised with blue jeweled earrings. Her makeup featured a smoky eyeshadow look and heavy blush, giving a worn-in appearance.
The film, directed by Damien Chazelle, chronicles Hollywood's transition from silent films to talkies in the late 1920s. Robbie stars alongside Brad Pitt, with the movie described as 'Great Gatsby on steroids' by a source.
Robbie's character is reportedly inspired by Clara Bow, a 1920s sex symbol. Pitt plays a fictional character based on actor-director John Gilbert. Other cast members include Chloe Fineman, Jeff Garlin, and Olivia Wilde.
Babylon is scheduled for a limited release on 25 December 2022, with a wide opening on 6 January 2023.
