Felix Gray and Maisie Hayes
Felix Gray, 21, from Preston, was shopping on Bold Street with Maisie Hayes, 20, from Chester, when we spotted them. Describing his style as "very authentic", Felix said: "Fashion shouldn't be about trends and clothes should be used to reflect you and how you are feeling." He bought his top from SWD in Trafford which he wore with Ed Hardy jorts and New Balance trainers.
Maisie wore a monochromatic red outfit and found her skirt in a charity shop, paired with a top borrowed from her mum. She completed her look with jewellery from a vintage shop in Vietnam, a charity shop bag and flip flops borrowed from her mum. She said: "I'd describe my style as whimsical and fairy vibes mixed with a bit of hippie. I just wear whatever I'm feeling on the day." Felix named Ed Hardy as his style icon, while Maisie turns to Vivienne Westwood for inspiration.
Nina Unen
Nina Unen, 22, from Manchester, was visiting the city for a shopping trip, sporting a Brazil top and camo trousers. Much of her look was from Berskha, paired with Zara sandals and a Burberry bag.
Mabel Jennings
Mabel Jennings, 19, a university student from Michigan, said she highly favours vintage and colour in her style. She said: "I'd describe my style as suffragette chic because I wear a lot of vintage dresses and I offset it with as many bits and bobs as possible." She bought her orange patterned dress from Oxfam on Bold Street, paired with a googly-eyed ring gifted from her friend’s dad, a breakfast smiley tote bag from her mum, and a pin from her grandmother on her headband. Mabel added: "I do tend to stick to the colours. and as long as I can wear colours and be as bright and loud as possible, it’s all good. I can look crazy and cool."
Sisters Reemah, Dee and Blessing
We spotted sisters Reemah, 25, Dee, 24, and Blessing, 25, on Castle Street. Describing her style as "chic and cute", Reemah wore a dress from Zara, jewellery from Shein, bag from Primark, and sliders from DKNY. Dee named her sisters as style icons, wearing a Zara top with Pull&Bear jeans, accessorised with a Zara bag, DKNY sliders, and jewellery bought from her sisters. Blessing described her style as "chic and clean", styling a Zara mini dress with a Coach bag and shoes from TK Maxx.
Raffety Walker
Raffety Walker, 23, Trinidad-born Liverpool resident, likes to represent her Caribbean and Palestinian heritage in her look. She wore a keffiyeh and the Trinidad flag, with thrifted and gifted pieces including a snakeskin top and a silver bracelet from friends. She bought the rest of her bracelets from Red Brick Market. Raffety said: "There are little spirals on the bracelets because I believe it symbolises in something that’s going to keep going, sort of like an eternal life."
