After sampling more than 100 different perfumes in a dedicated search for the perfect comforting fragrance, one beauty editor believes she has finally discovered her ideal cosy scent within a new collection from beloved brand Kayali.
The Freedom Musk Collection Launch
Kayali has transformed their classic Musk fragrance into four distinctive variations, creating what they've called the 'Freedom' range. The collection launched exclusively at Sephora, offering fragrance enthusiasts multiple ways to experience these new scents.
The brand has made these perfumes available as individual 10ml bottles priced at £28 each, or as a complete set of all four for £88. For those who find a particular favourite, Kayali has also released Musk Santal in larger 50ml (£79) and 100ml (£111) sizes.
Breaking Down The Four Scents
The Freedom range includes four carefully crafted fragrances, each with its own unique character and notes:
- Freedom Musk Bouquet | 27 Eau de Parfum: A powdery floral blend featuring ylang-ylang, Turkish rose and vanilla musk
- Freedom Musk Santal | 34 Eau de Parfum: A warm, sheer composition with sweet freesia, candied amber and musk santal
- Freedom Musk Matcha | 45 Eau de Parfum: A warm gourmand scent combining matcha, bergamot and sweet musk
- Freedom Musk Latte | 41 Eau de Parfum: A warm spicy fragrance with pink pepper, café latte and chocolate musk
The Perfect Cosy Scent Discovery
After previous disappointments with scents that proved too sweet or unavailable in travel sizes, the Freedom collection provided the solution. The standout favourite emerged as Freedom Musk Matcha, described as everything the fragrance expert had been searching for - warm, cosy and perfectly balanced in sweetness.
"The heart notes are the ones that truly resonate with me," the editor noted, highlighting the appealing combination of oat milk, praline, coffee and vanilla that creates an experience reminiscent of a favourite coffee shop visit.
Freedom Musk Latte secured the position of close runner-up, though its spicier profile might particularly appeal to fans of fragrances like Jazz Club. Freedom Musk Santal is expected to delight existing Kayali Musk enthusiasts, while Freedom Musk Bouquet presented as too powdery for personal preference.
The overall execution of the range received praise for ensuring each scent maintains distinct characteristics, increasing the likelihood that every fragrance lover will find something to suit their tastes within the collection.
