Former Coronation Street actress Arianna Ajtar, who played Olivia Radfield on the ITV soap in 2018 and 2019, has seen her clothing brand dress reality star Khloe Kardashian. The 30-year-old launched Mars The Label from her father's living room in Bolton, and it now boasts a multi-million pound turnover.
This weekend, Ajtar shared a photo of Kardashian wearing the brand's Sandra capri jumpsuit in polka dot, priced at £66. The reality TV star was spotted out in the US in the outfit, prompting Ajtar to tell fans: 'Khloe Kardashian a certified MARS girl.'
Ajtar founded the label as a teenager after identifying a gap in the market for going-out clothes. She saved £3,000 from working two jobs—at the Perfume Shop in Manchester's Trafford Centre and a jewellery shop in Bury—while studying acting at Liverpool University. The brand became an overnight success, leading her to drop out of university to pursue her dream.
Mars The Label now operates from a headquarters in Bolton, employing over two dozen staff. Ajtar credits her father's support and 'Northern grit' for her success. The brand offers sizes four to 20, which Ajtar says sets it apart from competitors. She noted that customers are now more conscious and invest in well-designed pieces rather than low-quality clothes.
The business has faced challenges, including recent US tariff changes, but plans to open a warehouse in the US this year. Ajtar emphasised staying true to the brand's identity: 'If you are chasing trends with the sole purpose of keeping up, you will always be behind.'
