A bride-to-be has shared her delight after discovering a designer wedding gown in a charity shop for just £14. Sophia, known on social media as @sophiecorinwithlove, said the find was the 'best day of my life'. The dress is from the Vera Wang Bride collection, which typically retails between £2,000 and £4,000.
Vera Wang launched her bridal collection in 1990 and has since become a leading name in bridal fashion. The Vera Wang Bride line is produced in partnership with Pronovias, a Spanish bridal designer, and is distinct from Wang's haute couture range, which starts at around £7,500.
Sophia's discovery went viral online, with many users astonished at the low price. One commenter joked they would buy such a dress just to lounge at home, while another expressed surprise that the charity shop hadn't priced it higher.
This is not the only bargain bridal gown find. In Alabama, US, nursing student Emmali Osterhoudt purchased a Galia Lahav wedding dress from a Goodwill store for £20. The dress originally retailed for over $6,000 and has been worn by celebrities like Beyoncé and Paris Hilton.
