AnnaLynne McCord, who married rugby player Danny Cipriani this weekend, wore a white bejewelled Alisha mini dress from British designer Nadine Merabi for her wedding brunch. The dress is now on sale for under £200, having previously retailed at £395.
A budget wedding weekend
The couple married in the first of three planned ceremonies in the back garden of their Los Angeles home. It is the second wedding for Cipriani, whose previous partners have included model Kelly Brook, Katie Price and Lindsay Lohan.
The newlyweds caused controversy when it was revealed that they had crowdfunded their wedding, asking guests to contribute towards elements such as the flowers and wedding breakfast.
The bridal brunch look
For the intimate ceremony, McCord wore an unconventional floral wedding dress from American designer Mark Zunino. Sharing photos from the day to her Instagram stories, the bride chose the Nadine Merabi design for the brunch occasion.
Made from Merabi's signature white crepe fabric, the Alisha dress has a retro-inspired silhouette, featuring a sculpted bodice with padded shoulders, a cinched waist and a tulip shaped skirt that skims the hips. Completing the look is a Sixties-inspired pointed collar bedazzled with floral applique sequins, which made a playful nod to the new bride's ceremony dress.
A celebrity favourite brand
Nadine Merabi has long been a celebrity favourite, with Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly both appearing in her designs for hosting duties on Strictly Come Dancing, while actresses Michelle Keegan and Jennifer Hudson are also fans.
For those who prefer McCord's floral ceremony dress, an alternative is available at a fraction of the price of her Mark Zunino design. According to the latest 2026 report from Bridebook UK, the average British bride spends £1,532 on her wedding dress, but stylish alternatives are available for under £650.
British brand Needle & Thread, known for ethereal, fairytale-like dresses, launched their own bridal collection in 2015. The Garden Rose Short Sleeve Ankle Gown, £630, is available in both cream and pink versions, with a delicate chiffon top layer covered in embroidery and a twinkling decolletage detail. The style also comes in a long sleeved version, also available for £630.
