First Lady Melania Trump has launched a production company, Muse Films, ahead of the release of an Amazon MGM Studios documentary about her life.
The documentary, titled Melania, is directed by Brett Ratner and will open in cinemas across the United States and in selected international territories on January 30. It will subsequently be available exclusively on Amazon's Prime Video service.
The launch was announced on Trump's official social media channels, where she posted a motion video of the company's logo. Notably, Muse was also the Secret Service code name used for Trump during her husband's first term in office.
Amazon acquired the rights to the documentary in January of this year. The film offers a behind-the-scenes look at the 20 days leading up to Donald Trump's 2025 inauguration, showing how she orchestrates inauguration plans, navigates the White House transition and re-enters public life with her family.
Trump serves as executive producer alongside Fernando Sulichin of New Element Media. Production on the documentary began in December 2024.
A sitting first lady launching a production company is not without precedent, although the Obamas waited until after leaving the White House to found Higher Ground Productions, whose debut film won an Oscar.
