Princess Catherine is reportedly taking a back seat when it comes to Prince William's ongoing feud with his younger brother, Prince Harry, according to royal expert Omid Scobie.
William and Harry have been feuding for a number of years, particularly since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the decision to step away from royal duties. It is unknown when Harry, who has recently returned to the UK, last spoke to his brother.
Kate's role in the feud
The 44-year-old future queen has previously been dubbed the "peacemaker" in the bitter feud, but according to Scobie, Catherine has "very little to do" with the tensions.
Speaking in the recent documentary, Harry & Meghan: The Return of the Prince, Scobie said: "There's always this talk of Kate potentially being the peacekeeper, the one who could bring the two brothers together."
"If I've learned anything over the years from covering them, it's that Kate has very little to do with that relationship between the brothers," he added.
Relations with King Charles thaw
Unlike his relationship with William, tensions between Harry and King Charles have reportedly "thawed", and there is now "warmth" between them.
Also speaking in the documentary, which aired earlier this week, People's senior royals editor Erin Hill stated that palace insiders have told the outlet that William and Catherine have decided "behind the scenes" to take a "very old-school royal approach" to Harry and Meghan's return.
"[They are planning to] Keep calm, carry on, do the job," she said.
Harry and Meghan back in the UK
"So right now Harry and Meghan, they're not a priority for them, and they're very much looking to the future," Hill said, as per the Daily Mail.
Harry and Meghan are now living back in the UK, reportedly residing in the Cotswolds with their children. The family of four returned to Britain on August 26, exactly one month ago.
