Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for its upcoming wildlife documentary series 'Born to Be Wild', narrated by award-winning actor Hugh Bonneville, known for his roles in 'Downton Abbey' and 'Paddington'. The six-part series, filmed over several years across three continents, follows six endangered young animals raised by humans but destined to return to the wild.
The series charts the challenges, triumphs and resilience that define survival for both the animals and the people working to protect them. Featured species include an elephant calf, two young cheetahs, a ring-tailed lemur pup, a moon bear cub, Iberian lynx kittens and rescued African penguins.
According to the synopsis, 'Born to Be Wild offers an intimate and emotional look at the powerful relationships between these animals and the heroic humans dedicated to raising, rehabilitating and rewilding them to help save their species.' The series premieres on Friday, 19th December on Apple TV+.
In addition to this series, Bonneville will also lend his voice to Channel 4's festive travel special 'Nordic Train at Christmas', described as a 'picturesque rail expedition' along the Bergen Oslo railway from Norway's coast to the capital.
