Three Documentaries to Watch Before Caroline Flack Series

A new docuseries about the late TV presenter Caroline Flack is set to premiere on Disney+ on 10 November. Titled Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth, the two-part series follows her mother Christine as she investigates the events leading up to Caroline's death by suicide in 2020 at age 40, while awaiting trial for alleged assault of her then-boyfriend.

The documentary explores the 'relentless media storm' Caroline faced after her arrest in 2019, which the synopsis says 'vilified her in the press and online' and contributed to her tragic death. Christine speaks with experts and industry professionals to uncover new details and question the decisions made by institutions.

While viewers await the series, three other celebrity documentaries are recommended. Amy (2015) chronicles the life and struggles of singer Amy Winehouse, who died from alcohol poisoning at 27. Directed by Asif Kapadia, it features archival footage and testimonials, earning a 96 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
