Strictly Come Dancing fans are already feeling emotional as the show's professional dancers prepare to perform a routine to a Taylor Swift classic, choreographed by the singer's own Eras Tour choreographer, Mandy Moore.
The BBC One dance contest, which returned last month, will see the 13 remaining couples perform in week four on Saturday, October 12. Alongside the couples' performances, a professional group dance will feature Karen Hauer and Nikita Kuzmin as leads in a love story routine set to a Taylor Swift song.
In a behind-the-scenes video posted on Instagram, Strictly's social media team wrote: '#Swifties assemble, this week’s #Strictly Pro routine is beyond your wildest dreams.' The clip shows rehearsals for the number, created with the help of Mandy Moore, who has worked on So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, the film La La Land, and Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour.
Michelle Tsiakkas says in the clip: 'This week's group dance is a Taylor Swift classic. We also have Taylor's very own choreographer creating the routine especially for us.' Mandy Moore explains: 'We've got Karen and Nikita, they're in a love story. Nikita is like the man of her wildest dreams and she's remembering back to a time that she was with him and she kind of goes between reality and dream.'
Fans have expressed excitement, particularly for Karen Hauer taking the lead. Comments on social media include 'So excited for this Karen as lead' and 'Yes @karenhauer. Can’t wait to see you shine.'
