Strictly Come Dancing viewers were moved to tears during Sunday night's emotional elimination show, as Amy Dowden made a surprise appearance in a pre-recorded Remembrance Sunday routine.
The performance saw the professional dancers, including Jowita Pryzstał and Neil Jones, joined by the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment, dancing to Sam Fender's poignant track 'Remember My Name'. Amy, who is currently on a break from the show recovering from her second mastectomy, was spotted by eagle-eyed fans in the special segment.
Taking to social media, one viewer wrote: "Amy dancing recorded in August, then, hate these 'Sunday' shows and dances recorded months ago." Another fan gushed: "Love seeing Amy in the performance. I am sobbing." The emotional response continued as others shared their reactions to the brass band and the music.
The results show also saw the departure of Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Karen Hauer, who lost a dance-off against La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec. All judges opted to save La Voix after both couples performed again. Harry thanked his partner Karen, saying: "You have given me an opportunity to shine. This has been a dream come true. It's a celebration."
An emotional Karen added: "You're such a gentleman, a hard worker. It was an honour to teach you, so thank you so much."
