Angela Rippon and dance partner Kai Widdrington scored 28 points for their American Smooth on Saturday night, but Craig Revel Horwood's score of six prompted a visible reaction from Neil Jones.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, fans shared their thoughts on the BBC show. One wrote: "Neil’s reactions to judges scores for Angela R just then were hilarious. Actually lol’d." Another said: "SCREAMING AT NEIL'S FACE WHEN CRAIG GAVE ANGELA R A 6." Some viewers, however, thought Angela looked upset, with one commenting: "Can see Angela Rippon holding back the tears after Craig dished her out a b****y 6 at Blackpool."
Other fans criticised the performance, with one suggesting Angela "has got to go", while another praised her, writing: "How brill is Angela. I remember watching her present Come Dancing, How Lovely to Come Full Circle."
Bookmakers have made Angela the favourite for elimination at 1/2, having survived two previous dance-offs. Annabel is close behind at 9/4. Angela and Kai will dance the American Smooth to Tea for Two by Ella Fitzgerald, while Annabel and Johannes perform to Unchained Melody by Benedetta Caretta. Strictly Come Dancing returns on Sunday at 7.20pm on BBC One.
