Comedian Laura Smyth has postponed her entire UK tour, leaving fans disappointed. The 44-year-old announced the news on Instagram, saying the decision was not easy.

Smyth, who won the Funny Women Stage Award in 2019, told her 82.2k followers: “I am absolutely gutted to announce that my upcoming tour has to be postponed. My team and I have tried everything to make the tour go ahead as scheduled.
“This isn’t a decision I’ve taken lightly, but due to some recent personal family news I now need to be close to home. I am so grateful to everyone who has bought the tickets and have been as excited as me about the tour.

The tour was due to wrap up in Salford on November 22, but all shows have been cancelled. Smyth assured fans that all tickets will be transferable to new dates.
She added: “I appreciate this news will be frustrating and am so sorry for any inconvenience this postponement causes. I am looking forward to being able to update you with the new dates as soon as possible – all tickets will be transferable of course.
Time away from social media
Smyth also said she will be taking time away from social media but hopes to stay in contact through her podcast and other work. She closed: “Love you all and thank you for your patience and understanding.”
The comedian, from East London, has built a career across stand-up, television, radio, writing and podcasting. She starred in Netflix’s Baby Reindeer in 2024 and took part in Celebrity Hunted Stand Up To Cancer this year.
