Coronation Street fans have been left fearing for a Weatherfield legend as they questioned what Jodie Ramsey's next move could be after her latest scenes sparked disgust.
As those who follow the ITV soap know, Jodie has been a bit of a mystery to viewers since she was first seen tied up in the back of a van being driven by Emmerdale returnee Graham Foster during a horror multi-vehicle pile-up.
It wasn't long before Jodie made herself comfortable with Shona and her family at No.8 Coronation Street. But as viewers have seen, she has made multiple attempts to get between her sister's relationship with her husband, David Platt.
She was also seen as one of five possible victims of a murder in Weatherfield before convincing Daniel Osbourne, who wasn't in a good place following his girlfriend, Megan Walsh, being exposed as a groomer, to be her new pal and briefly moving in with him, before he exposed her as his online troll as his mental health deteriorated.
Jodie has since managed to get herself a place back at No.8, despite Shona discovering that she tricked David into bed by pretending to be her, and her continued presence on the cobbles has caused confusion among fans.
This continued on Tuesday (June 16) as Jodie discovered the gun, which Carl Webster had wielded during a stand-off at the garage with his uncle, Kevin Webster, and appeared to be delighted as she immediately took it home.
Meanwhile, Fiona found Carl at the Chariot Square, where both Debbie Webster and Ronnie Bailey learned that the gun was missing and they were all at risk if it's not returned. Jodie, meanwhile, was seen heading back to No.8 where she was confronted by David, who was waving around a bag of David the dog's poo.
And while Corrie fans feared what Jodie could do now she has a gun in her hands, others were speaking out in disgust at her latest move. @xxAlicia89 said: "So what’s Jodie planning on doing with the gun then? Is she gonna use it on David if he doesn’t sleep with her #Corrie." @Wee_Westie29 noted: "Jodie could keep that gun as blackmail/evidence as it’ll have DNA on it. #Corrie #CoronationStreet @itvcorrie."
@1stLadyHooligan wrote: "pmsl that gun wasn't meant for Jodie. It looks like Carl's in trouble. #corrie." @sarahlawson84 commented: "Ok she’s 100% a psychopath. She put dog poo in the inside bin! #Corrie." @dapharries replied: "And she didn’t wash her hands!" @PinkFlip15 echoed: "@itvcorrie how gross, that Jodie just put the poo bag in the kitchen bin #corrie #davidthedog #platts." @Dayjur11 added: "The thing that affected me most tonight was Jodie putting the steaming bag of dogs**t in the kitchen bin. I wasn't at all perturbed by the gun violence or Sam's nightmarish psychotic drawings. #Corrie."
It comes after spoilers for next week's Corrie have now revealed Jodie's next plan. She gets landed with making a tin man costume for Harry Platt's school play, but distracted, she scrolls through a dating app, and when one of the profiles amuses her, she clicks to 'like' it.
Later, Jodie reveals that she’s got a date, and when David Platt lets slip that he’s meeting Nick Tilsley in the Bistro, Jodie forms a plan. Soon, Jodie meets her date, Ryan Connor, at the Bistro. But once David arrives, Jodie switches on the charm, hoping to make David jealous. How will the evening pan out?
