The Chase Around The World, ITV's spin-off of The Chase, ended its debut series earlier this week, and fans are already talking about another series being made.
The series combines the hit quiz show with a Race Across The World-style format, seeing the Chasers meet teams of contestants across Europe as they race to win £100,000 by tackling quiz questions, puzzles and cryptic clues throughout their journey.
Despite the globe-trotting series boasting beautiful landmarks, the contestants had to keep their eyes on the prize. The pair who arrived last at each destination had to take on the Chasers in a quiz. If they won, they got to keep the time advantage by picking who left the starting line last in the next city. However, if they lost, they were immediately out.
Fans divided over debut series
Fans were left divided when The Chase Around The World first aired, with one writing: "I've given The Chase Around the World an episode and a bit out of loyalty to The Chase, but it's just not doing it for me."
Another said: "This is so dull. They should've just made a new series of Beat the Chasers."
Viewers suggest changes for series two
But now, viewers have suggested that they'd quite like to see a second series - but some changes would need to be made.
Posting to Reddit, one fan wrote: "I actually really enjoy the concept and would love a series two! I think I'd want a format tweak though, but maybe I'm hypocritical because I can't think of what off the top of my head.
"That being said, I think I'd prefer just more series of beat the chasers. But I'm happy they keep trying stuff!"
Another added: "My only disappointment really is that I was hoping it would feature some of the international chasers, jist to make it truly global," as a third suggested: "I think it needs some tweaks to make it more competitive - maybe something like alternating which team member answers questions in the final Chase - and avoid having to spread things too thinly."
Pacing and production criticised
Someone else commented: "Not enough action, the edit makes everything seem slow paced. Look at The Amazing Rvae earlier seasons for how to actually make the action interesting. It needs to be faster paced.
"It's all a bit too cheesy. The Chasers hiding behind things, pretending they haven't been seen and that it's not staged is utter cringe. Favourite thing? Nice seeing bits of europe, I guess."
