Why I always buy strawberries and blueberries from M&S
Why I always buy berries from M&S over Sainsbury's

A shopper who does most of her weekly food shopping at Sainsbury's or Tesco has revealed she always buys one item from M&S: strawberries and blueberries.

Better freshness and less waste

Sophie Harris, Senior Lifestyle Reporter, says M&S berries stay fresh much longer than those from other supermarkets. She once had blueberries from M&S that lasted 10 days.

Although a 250g punnet of strawberries costs £2.60 at M&S compared to £2.25 at Sainsbury's, she finds she wastes far fewer strawberries.

Superior quality across the range

Harris also prefers M&S's other fruit including kiwis, bananas, apples and oranges. The supermarket has recently expanded its range of simple ingredients, with products like avocado oil crisps (£3.90) and condiments receiving praise.
