Hollywood star Vera Farmiga has been spotted sporting some startling facial injuries while on location for the latest instalment of the blockbuster horror franchise, The Conjuring.
The acclaimed actress, 51, was photographed on a London film set with significant bruising visible around her left eye and cheek. The marks appeared to be the work of the makeup department's skilled artists, meticulously applied to create a convincing injury for her character, paranormal investigator Lorraine Warren.

Despite the alarming appearance, the injuries are purely fictional and part of the film's narrative. Farmiga was seen in high spirits between takes, laughing and chatting with crew members, clearly unbothered by her character's dramatic new look.
