Vera Farmiga's Bruises Revealed on Conjuring Set

Hollywood star Vera Farmiga has been spotted sporting some startling facial injuries while on location for the latest instalment of the blockbuster horror franchise, The Conjuring.

The acclaimed actress, 51, was photographed on a London film set with significant bruising visible around her left eye and cheek. The marks appeared to be the work of the makeup department's skilled artists, meticulously applied to create a convincing injury for her character, paranormal investigator Lorraine Warren.

Secrets of the Set

Despite the alarming appearance, the injuries are purely fictional and part of the film's narrative. Farmiga was seen in high spirits between takes, laughing and chatting with crew members, clearly unbothered by her character's dramatic new look.

The filming took place in the capital, with the actress layering a practical beige coat over her classic 1970s-style costume to guard against the typical British chill.

Return to the Warren Universe

This new project marks the highly anticipated return of Vera Farmiga and her co-star Patrick Wilson to the roles that made them horror icons. The pair are reprising their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren for the first time since 2016's The Conjuring 2, much to the excitement of fans worldwide.

The sight of a bruised Farmiga has set social media alight with speculation about what terrifying new threat the famed paranormal couple will face in this upcoming chapter.
