From The Nun to The Warrens, The Crooked Man to Annabelle, The Conjuring universe is a terrifyingly interconnected world. Director James Wan, known for Saw and Insidious, is the creative force linking these films together. The first movie, The Conjuring, introduced us to Ed and Lorraine Warren and the infamous Annabelle doll, which soon got its own spin-off.
The Annabelle films trace the doll's origins back to a father who crafted it for his daughter. After the girl's death, an evil entity entered the doll, leading to a series of horrific events. The doll eventually ends up in the Warrens' artifact room, as seen in the original The Conjuring.
The Conjuring 2 brought in the demon nun Valak, while the latest film, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, continues the Warrens' adventures. Each film adds layers to this dark universe, much like Marvel and DC franchises, but with a horror twist.
