Tom Holland and Zendaya were spotted outside the Golden Apple Comics store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles on Thursday, posing with a Spider-Man statue. The actors, both 21, starred together in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, with Holland playing the web-slinger and Zendaya portraying his classmate Michelle 'MJ' Jones.
The pair dressed casually for the outing. Holland wore a grey Under Armour T-shirt, faded blue jeans and black Converse Chuck Taylor All Star high tops, while Zendaya opted for a white T-shirt, cuffed blue jeans and matching black Chuck Taylors. She had sunglasses perched on her curly hair as they left the shop.
Holland playfully ducked under the statue of Spider-Man firing his web-shooters. Zendaya then joined him as they flanked the statue and mimicked the web-shooting pose while a man took pictures for them.
Spider-Man, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, first appeared in an anthology comic book in August 1962. The character has been portrayed on screen by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield before Holland took on the role.
Holland will reprise his role as Peter Parker in Avengers: Infinity War, released on April 27, and in the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel due out on July 5, 2019. Zendaya has agreed to produce and star in the biographical drama A White Lie, about light-skinned African-American woman Anita Hemmings who passed as white to attend Vassar College in the 1890s.
