Tom Chadbon, the British actor whose credits included Doctor Who and Game of Thrones, died last weekend at the age of 80.
His death was announced by Fantom Events, the agency that represented him. In a statement, they said: 'We are sorry to hear the news that Tom Chadbon passed away last weekend. Tom was a familiar face to many from his numerous television and film credits, including Doctor Who, James Bond and Game of Thrones. He was always a warm and friendly man to work with and we send our condolences to his family at this sad time.'
Career Highlights
Chadbon's most high-profile role in Doctor Who was as Duggan, a recurring character from 1979–1986. He also played High Septon Maynard in Game of Thrones, listed as his final role in 2017 on IMDb. His other credits include the James Bond film Casino Royale, the mini-series Rebecca, The Bill, Midsomer Murders, Peep Show, Blake's 7 and Silent Witness, among many others.
His career began in the late 1960s, and during the 1970s he appeared in shows such as ITV Playhouse, Out of the Unknown, Juggernaut and Churchill's People.
