Taylor Swift has finally confirmed her involvement in the upcoming Toy Story 5 movie, putting an end to weeks of fan speculation. The 36-year-old singer announced on Monday that Swifties were correct in guessing she has a role in the film, which is set to hit theaters on June 19.
Cryptic Clues Lead to Confirmation
Fans had been buzzing after cryptic billboards appeared across the country, along with a mysterious website countdown. The clues pointed to Swift's participation, and the singer herself acknowledged the speculation in an Instagram post.
“You knew it!” Swift wrote, addressing her fans directly. She also announced that her new song, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” will be released on June 5.
A Dream Come True
In her post, Swift expressed her excitement about the project. “I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie,” she said. “I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?”
More details are expected to follow as the film's release date approaches.
