In the end-credits scene of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Ned's Spider-Man tracker loses track of Tom Holland's Web Slinger, repeatedly displaying ‘Location unknown’. The circular Spider-Man face marker then moves away from New York, past Earth, and beyond the Moon. After a momentary malfunction, the tracker announces ‘Location found’ as the marker settles somewhere in outer space.
Tease for Avengers: Secret Wars
The scene is interpreted as a tease for Avengers: Secret Wars more than Avengers: Doomsday. Doomsday is expected to conclude with the multiverse colliding and Doctor Doom creating Battleworld, a patchwork world from destroyed realities, as in the comic books. The outer-space marker may indicate Spider-Man traveling to Battleworld for the 2027 sequel.
Avengers Doomsday and Secret Wars
None of the Spider-Man stars have been confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday, out this Christmas, though rumours suggest Tobey Maguire may cameo. Meanwhile, Avengers: Doomsday's plot was spoiled by a Comic Con trailer. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now in UK cinemas, with Avengers: Doomsday releasing on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars a year later.
