Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock was seen enjoying a rare public outing in Los Angeles this week, appearing in good spirits ahead of the festive season. The sighting comes just days after the star enjoyed a nostalgic reunion with her former Speed co-star, Keanu Reeves.
A Casual Outing in the City
On Tuesday, the 61-year-old was spotted bundled up against the chill in a dark plaid coat, black leggings, and lace-up shoes. A blue graphic T-shirt with a white collar peeked out from beneath her coat, and her brunette hair was styled in a low ponytail. Completing her look were a pair of large, black-rimmed glasses and a friendly smile as she carried a box of treats.
This low-key appearance follows a difficult period for Bullock, who lost her longtime partner, photographer Bryan Randall, in August 2023 after his battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). She had previously described him as the "love of my life" in a 2021 interview, noting he set a wonderful example for her children.
Reconnecting with a Famous Co-Star
Bullock's LA outing follows a heartwarming weekend reunion backstage with Keanu Reeves at his Broadway show, Waiting for Godot. The pair, who famously starred together in the 1994 action thriller Speed, posed for cheerful photos, with a source noting "it felt like no time had passed at all."
This was not their only recent meet-up; last year they also celebrated the 30th anniversary of Speed at Beyond Fest in Hollywood. Their on-screen partnership, which also included the 2006 romance The Lake House, is set to continue. It was revealed in May that the duo will share the screen again in an upcoming romantic thriller from Amazon MGM Studios, though plot details remain tightly under wraps.
Focus on Family and Future Films
A devoted mother to her two adopted children, 16-year-old son Louis and 12-year-old daughter Laila, Bullock was seen shopping with them earlier this month. Her professional schedule, however, remains packed.
Next, she is set to produce and star in the highly anticipated sequel to the 1998 cult classic Practical Magic, reprising her role as Sally Owens opposite Nicole Kidman's Gillian. Kidman recently praised the "incredible cast" and the safe, loving atmosphere on set. The sequel will also see the return of Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing as the aunts, with new additions including Lee Pace and Joey King.
