Parklife Festival has announced that its 2027 edition will take place on July 10 and 11, a notable shift from its traditional June slot. The announcement, made via social media on the evening of June 24, 2026, has sparked speculation among fans that the change could be linked to a potential Oasis tour.
Early Bird Tickets and Payment Plans
Early bird tickets for Parklife 2027 go on sale at 10am on Friday, June 27, 2026. Organisers are offering an 11-part payment plan: a £20 deposit on Friday followed by ten automatic monthly payments of £14.29 for a standard weekend ticket. VIP tickets require a £20 deposit and ten monthly payments under £20, while Backstage (VIP+) tickets demand a £45 deposit plus ten monthly payments of £35.
Fan Reactions and Oasis Rumours
In the comments of the Instagram post, fans repeatedly asked, "How come July?" One user speculated, "Hope this is because @oasis will be taking over in June." Similar reactions emerged on TikTok, with fans questioning the date change and suggesting Oasis could be playing in June 2027.
The speculation follows a BBC teaser on June 22, 2026, during World Cup coverage, which displayed the Oasis font and the date "23-06-26." This prompted a frenzy among Oasis fans, who interpreted it as a hint at a new tour announcement. The band reunited in 2025 for the Oasis Live 25 tour, which sold out globally and left fans clamoring for more dates. Since then, the band has remained silent on future tours.
Oasis Spokesperson Responds
An Oasis spokesperson contacted the Manchester Evening News regarding the BBC teaser, stating: "Thank you BBC, Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Fans can take from that, what they will!" The BBC has been approached for comment but has not yet responded.
Parklife Festival has been approached for comment on the date change. The festival, held at Heaton Park in Greater Manchester, is one of the UK's largest metropolitan events, drawing tens of thousands annually. This year's event featured performances by Skepta, Sammy Virji, Zara Larsson, and Calvin Harris, with surprise sets from Aitch and Bez.
