The Grand Budapest Hotel, a modern classic and winner of four Academy Awards, will be removed from Netflix UK on August 11.
The 2014 film, directed by Wes Anderson, is set in 1932 and follows Ralph Fiennes as Monsieur Gustave H, the concierge of a mountainside resort in the fictional European country of Zubrowka. When Gustave H is framed for the murder of Tilda Swinton's wealthy dowager, he and bellhop Zero, played by Tony Revolori, set off in search of a priceless Renaissance painting.
Star-Studded Ensemble
The film features an impressive cast of 17 actors, including F. Murray Abraham, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Saoirse Ronan, Edward Norton, Mathieu Amalric, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Tom Wilkinson, Jude Law, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson, and Léa Seydoux.
Nominated for nine Oscars, including Best Picture, The Grand Budapest Hotel won four of those nominations. It is now considered one of the greatest films of the 21st century.
