Nightmare Before Christmas light trail arrives in Cheshire

The Nightmare Before Christmas light trail has opened at Arley Hall and Gardens in Cheshire, transforming the historic grounds into the film's Halloween Town and Christmas Town. The immersive nighttime experience runs until January 3, 2027.

A Magical Transformation at Arley Hall

The trail brings to life the story of Jack Skellington, a resident of Halloween Town who discovers Christmas Town and becomes captivated by the festive celebration. Set against Arley Hall's historic backdrop, the experience features more than 1,700 lights, interactive video projections, intelligent LED lighting, music and 3D-printed sculptures.

Visitors can explore 24 sections that showcase recognisable locations and characters from both fictional towns. The experience has been created by LETSGO in partnership with Adventureland and is presented by special arrangement with Disney Theatrical Group.

Behind the Scenes and Reactions

LETSGO founder Iñaki Fernández said: "It's been so rewarding to bring to life the distinctive visual world of Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas into a real, immersive experience and share it with audiences across the globe."

Fernández added: "After seeing fans fall in love with the trail internationally, we can't wait to transform the beautiful grounds of Arley Hall and Gardens into Halloween Town and Christmas Town. It's a chance for families to create unforgettable memories alongside the characters they love, and a welcome escape to the countryside where everyone can switch off from daily life and enjoy the perfect day out together."

ECHO live news editor Cheryl Mullin attended a launch event on October 22 and described the experience as a "dream come true". She said: "It was truly magical to walk through the dark woods and see the world of Jack Skellington brought to life. From the music, to the tableaus and the creative light displays, there was something different waiting around every corner to see and explore."

An Experience for All Ages

The trail offers an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages, with characters featured throughout the grounds. The immersive experience runs until the new year, giving families across the region the chance to experience Tim Burton's world in a new way.
